Spy Wars is an rpg based in the
modern day. It is a game of intrigue, action, suspense, and most
certainly violence. Our characters are members of a special government organization that is attached to the Department of Homeland Security much like the characters in Mission:Impossible. Their job is to take on certain tasks that are high-risk and important. However, these jobs can sometimes be considered a little dirty and possibly illegal. Although the team works for the U.S. government, it is made up of highly qualified free-lance operatives from around the world. These characters are tough, intelligent, and very very dangerous. Their primary opposition so far has been international terrorists and the super secret World Business League (WBL). This rpg world is probably our most violent and dark. Like Cyberpunk, you must always watch your back, because a team member may decide to kill you if the money's right or they just don't like you. This is a world grounded in reality but with all of the awful parts of our society turned up a notch or two. In this game the characters may be tortured, raped, or tricked into doing things they despise. They may come in contact with junkies, pushers, crime-lords, pornographers, or child-molesters. This is a grim and sad place, where our heroes hope to make a difference. It is Mission Impossible, James Bond, Enemy of the State and Pulp Fiction all in one, but with an NC-17 rating. We don't play this often, however when we do...it always gets dirty.
